Ciao bellas!!
It’s finally here… Thanks to you guys making my first collection for Missoma such a success, we were able to work together on a THIRD collaboration that launches today. Yayyyyy! I can’t tell you how happy I am to introduce The Roman collection, our latest collaboration inspired by my 30th birthday trip to Rome earlier this year. I have to say, I’m going to be dripping in these pieces for the forseeable future, I really do love them. Am I allowed to say that about my own collection? Well I’m saying it; I’m obsessed.
This has been a real passion project, in the works since early April this year… We’ve spent days, weeks and months sourcing original and replica coins, refining designs, honing names, styles and sizes and lastly, shooting this editorial in Italy a few weeks ago. Not only were the designs inspired by Rome’s ancient coins, antique busts and marble interiors, I wanted this collection to feel a little bit extra to reflect that vivacious Italian spirit I’ve fallen in love with. So as well as the delicate, everyday pendants, tiny hoops and rings, there are the kind of pieces that look insane with red lipstick and some slip of a thing thrown on, and equally amazing on tanned skin on holiday. I like the idea of these medallion-esque pieces becoming little personal heirlooms and sentimental treasures that just get better and more meaningful with age and time. I wanted to create pieces that would slot into an existing jewellery collection with ease, sitting seamlessly next to of St.Christophers, crosses, fine chains and of course, our previous jewellery collections. I’ve always loved green malachite and wanted to introduce tiny touches of the precious stone to the collection to add a bit of rich colour in tiny ways. I fell in love with the incredible marble interiors of palazzo Altemps in Rome and the old world marbles of little ristorante bathrooms and hotels.Check out my Rome posts too and see if you can spy some of my inspiration. Plus, malachite is often used for protection (great for travellers and frequent flyers) and is often referred to as the ‘stone of transformation’ as it can supposedly help with change, anxiety, personal development and balancing out emotions and stresses. Not to mention, it’s look pretty glorious in all it’s green glory if crystals aren’t your thing…
I really hope you love these pieces as much as I do. And THANK YOU to every single one of you that bought a piece from our debut collection (the large horn necklace and mini fang necklace etc are still going strong) and/or our now sold-out rose gold charity collection. Without you guys, none of this would be possible so thank you for allowing me to create a whole new collection with Missoma, my favourite ongoing collaboration to date.
But without further ado, how about I let the pieces speak for themselves and let you have a nose around for yourself.
And just in case you were wondering, there will be some pieces coming soon in silver… This is predominantly a gold collection (and I’m a gold wearer mostly) but we will be making a few key pieces available in silver soon. Never fear silver wearers, we’ll look after you.
Shop the entire collection (with some pieces you might see below coming soon…) HERE.
