A Statement for the Basics

Today’s look is a simple look that packs a major punch! I always tend to gravitate towards styling the wardrobe essentials while creating something that has an unexpected twist or standout piece, which makes those basics feel special. I’m sure you can tell from the very first photo what the statement piece is, which this look is centered around – the amazing jacket by Nour Hammour. It is the perfect example of the result when clothing and art collide. I’m completely obsessed with this French outerwear company because they make some of the most breathtaking pieces I have ever seen.

For today’s look I kept it super simple and let the jacket do most of the talking. I paired this eye-catching jacket with a great tee, ripped jeans and then opted for a sleek shoe and handbag. I wanted to add a little more interest so I layered my favorite wrap leather choker with a quartz pendant, for a little more edge. What I love most about styling an amazing statement piece like this jacket is it makes a simple outfit, consisting of mostly basics, not look basic at all!
