At the beginning of the summer I was soooo nervous about the upcoming weather. When I was apartment hunting I just remember a blur of sweat, dehydration, and feeling like I was constantly on the edge of heatstroke. Well, it turns out, when you’re not running all across Brooklyn looking for a place to live, the summer is not that bad. I get dressed with a/c, walk to the subway/wait for the subway in the heat, ride on the subway with a/c, walk to work in the heat, and then I chill in the a/c until I repeat the process to go home. Not bad at all!

I’ve been doing this really fun thing this summer where I keep dying my bangs purple. Well first, I make bangs, and then I dye them purple. Garnier makes this great temporary dye – super temporary – that’s also really easy to apply. After my sister gets married in August I want to dye all of my hair purple, but it will depend on whether it needs to be bleached. Bleach on top of the color I already have would kill my hair!
