Back to Basics (Couples Edition)

We all just survived out first week of March and it wasn't that bad, right? The week ended in another weekend of beautiful weather and we're taking every advantage!

For this post, I'm mixing it up just a bit. I'm introducing my boyfriend to my blog. He's always been a part of Fashionoodle, well, more like behind the scenes--aka my photographer!
I loved ootd for yesterday- combination of rich wine colored Prana denim paired with his Lululemon black v-neck tee. Totally basic, modern and downright comfy! Prana is also a high end active wear brand and since my BF is a personal trainer, he has found ways to incorporate his work life into his down time style. It's working and it looks great!
To add more of his own unique personality, he's sporting his aviators ($14), Natey Love (Biskind) glass pendant ($200-350) and his psychedelic hat by Alternative Intelligence ($55). Chris's favorite piece is his Natey Love glass pendant which was custom made for him and our 2 dogs, Luke & Yoda.
Accessories have the power of conveying your own style and personality! They're wonderful to any outfit of the day, whether your male or female.

For my own ootd, I also went basic. My deep emerald colored v-neck tee by Truly Madly Deeply ($24) and BDG high waisted denim were perfect for the afternoon! Super basic and comfortable but I knew I needed to add a little bit more to give that Fashionoodle flair!
Like I stated earlier, accessories can be your best friend when you have a beginning foundation of a basic outfit, like mine. All of my accessories, aside from my shoes & hobo bag, were found under $10 at random boutiques. The sandals, however, are by Dolce Vita ($130). I love my DV sandals! I love that they wrap around the ankle for extra support as well as the embellishments on the straps. The colors patterns on the sandals make it versatile--easy for pairing with pants, dresses and skirts! I absolutely adore them!

Oh, I almost forgot to talk about my bag! This is my new IT bag by Topshop (about $80)! Very boho but it still carries that "city/street girl" edge through its colors (black and gold). My favorite parts about this bag is the gold zipper that circumferences around along with the bag size! I throw so many things into my bag especially when I'm going out for the day to SF. You never know when you need this or that. BIG BAGS ARE A LIFE SAVER!!!
