Thermomix Chocolate Cake Recipe

School holidays has seen me baking a lot. The weather here has been… not-so-awesome, so we’ve been inside and trying to keep the kids occupied. Sometimes cake just works. I went searching for a Thermomix Chocolate Cake Recipe, and found this one over on the community website. I love how big and luscious it is on the outside, and how moist it is on the inside. It’s a winner recipe.

For the icing I just made my own out of butter, icing sugar and cocoa, but you can use this recipe if you don’t feel like winging it.

THERMOMIX CHOCOLATE CAKE RECIPE

2 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoon bicarb soda
375g milk

3 teaspoons baking powder
50g cocoa

Method
♥ Preheat your oven to 160 °c. Grease and line a cake tin {20-22cm in diameter}.
♥ Place butter and brown sugar into the Thermomix bowl and mix on Speed 6/30 seconds, or until creamy. Scrape down the sides of the bowl using the spatula.
♥ Add the eggs, bicarb soda, milk, flour, baking powder and cocoa to the Thermomix bowl. Mix on Speed 6/1 minute.
♥ Pour the mixture into the cake tin, and place into the oven. Bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes, or until cooked.
