Wardrobe Resolutions 2015

Sale PSA: Sweaters! (It’s still cold where you are too, right)? A Vince shirt tail cashmere/wool sweater in a pretty shade of camel is now 60% off/under $120, a classic chunky knit cream cable turtleneck sweater from 525 America, now under $130, and a super versatile long cashmere turtleneck sweater in black or white at Nordstrom, now under $120. Oh, and not a sweater but a pretty navy beaded dress, just because I love the back, from Haute Hippie, now 40% off.

I started doing wardrobe resolutions in the beginning of January a few years ago (you can read 2014’s here), and it’s been interesting for me to go back to each one at the end of each year. I have a separate follow up post planned for how I did for 2014’s 25 item wardrobe limit. Today however, I wanted to share my 2015 wardrobe resolutions!

1. Respect thy stuff. Basically, whether they’re expensive or inexpensive, to take care of my items and treat them with respect. Anyone who knows me well knows that an excessive amount of clutter or just “stuff” drives me up the wall, especially when things are just treated like junk. Knowing how much work goes into even the cheapest of products makes me want to treat anything that I have with respect and care. And that way, they’ll last longer, and it’s better for the environment and wallet.

2. No more bags! I don’t think this needs any explanation. I have enough! I’ll make an exception if any of my orders come in though…but then I’d like to follow a one in, one out rule.

3. 25 items for 2015. The same resolution I did last year..keep the number of items added to my closet to 25 or under for 2015. I’ll exclude socks, underwear, but everything else is more or less fair game. I’ll be following up with how I did in 2014.

All right…so those are my wardrobe resolutions for 2015! What are yours?
