Freshwater Pearls Bracelet

The Freshwater Pearls Bracelet is a beautiful artsy bracelet that is fun to make. If you're saving some special beads, this is the perfect project to show them off! I used gorgeous pink freshwater pearl beads, but you can choose glass, plastic, metal...the possibilities are endless!

Materials Needed:

• Beads of your choice (I used about 18 of the large pearls, 6 for each of the three strands and 18 glass seed beads, 6 per strand too)
• 1 skein DMC embroidery floss
• C (2.75 mm) crochet hook
• Clasp of your choice
• Clear nail polish (optional, but helpful)
• Embroidery and/or beading needle
• Scissors

Instructions:

With embroidery needle (or beading needle if your bead holes are tiny), string beads onto floss and push back to allow yourself some space to work (for bracelet shown, there are roughly about 6 large pearl beads and 6 glass seed beads on each strand, 3 strands total. Be sure to always add more than you think you'll need when stringing them on). Determine how far apart you'd like your beads to be. For each strand I made them 3 chains apart.

With the hook, make a slip knot and make three chains. Slide the first bead over and make a chain as usual, but also incorporating the bead. Chain three more then add the next bead into the next chain. Repeat (ch 3, ch with a bead and so on) until strand is about as long as you would like for it to be. Make three more chains then fasten off, leaving a tail for tying onto clasp later. Tip: when measuring for your bracelet, be sure to account for the clasp size as well, as it will add a bit of length to the bracelet.

Repeat twice more for a total of three strands (or how many you want for your bracelet).

Tie all three strands together at both ends. Tie each side onto clasp parts with a secure knot. Trim all tails and to ensure that the knot does not slip out you can dab a little clear nail polish right on the knot. This will prevent the satiny floss from coming apart. Let completely dry before wearing and you're finished!
