One thing I've always wanted from my blog was a bit more variation on photo backgrounds. I think I've been doing pretty well, even if I have found myself wandering into popular wedding-engagement-family photo shoot locations...like The St. Norbert Ruins. It's funny that every type of photography has its own cliches - weddings in a forest clearing or road, engagement photos in a meadow, or fashion photos on a street. I certainly follow suit for many of the fashion blogger cliches...guilty!
Hair. I dyed it and cut it. It was terrifying but worth it! It feels way less flat and blah, I only wish I could have taken pictures when it was nice and fresh.
This gorgeous draped sweater is from a new online shop called
The Free Island. It was created by a blogger and I think you will enjoy the selection, especially if you are diggin' my recent outfits. Lots of black, simplicity and subtle details. You may remember that I really want to sink into layers of drapes and textures from
this fashion inspiration post. I know, it's surprising that I haven't already changed my mind onto something new.
