Vichy Pureté Thermale fresh cleasnsing gel and cleansing micellar oil review

I've been trying out two cleansers from the new Vichy Pureté Thermale range which is designed to combat the negative effects of pollution and hard water. They're both brilliant products, especially for using in summer as they have an amazing almost sun creme like scent, and the cleansing gel especially, feels to refreshing and cool on the skin.

Vichy Pureté Thermale Beautifying Cleansing Micellar Oil
This clever cleanser combines the qualities of a cleansing oil and a micellar water. It's enriched with Vitamin E to provide antioxidant protection and Camellia Oil to moisturise and soften the skin. I really like using cleansing oils, as they feel so luxurious and relaxing to apply, and this one is no exception. You massage a few drops of the oil onto dry skin, and then when you add water it transforms the formula from oily to milky, and then you rinse it off.
The oil is lightweight, and it's not made my skin breakout or feel any oilier or greasier. I make sure I've removed all of the cleanser by rinsing off with a muslin cloth, which also helps to remove any eye makeup that the product has broken down.
I've really enjoyed using this cleanser - it has a lovely scent, and it feels silky on my skin - I really like this one for night-time as it's great at breaking down makeup, and in the evening I have more time to enjoy the experience of massaging the oil into my skin for a bit longer.

Vichy Purete Thermale Fresh Cleansing Gel
The fresh cleansing gel is a completely different type of cleansing formula, but it still has that delicious summer-y scent to it. With this one you apply the gel to damp rather than dry skin, and the product really foams up as you work it into the skin. I used far too much the first time I tried this - as it foams up a lot, you only need one small pump.
Although this is a foaming cleanser, and foaming cleansers can get a bad rap for being drying on the skin, I've not found that at all with this cleanser. After using it my skin feels fresh and comfortable, and not dry or tight at all. I think this is because the formula contains technology to combat the effects of hard water, which is also explains why it foams up so much! This cleanser also contains Glycerin to moisturise the skin and Moringa to cleanse dirt and pollution away.

If I'm feeling flash I'll use the micellar oil and then the gel cleanser as a luxurious double-cleanse situation in the evening. But in general, for me it's worked out perfectly to use to oil at night and the gel cleanser in the morning.
The Vichy Pureté Thermale range is available now at Boots and Escentual.
