I was a step away from wearing white for my engagement party outfit, but I thought blush would be a cool unexpected option. Of course I wore For Love and Lemons…duh. My love for them is still strong. It was between this dress and a Stone Cold Fox one but the scalloped hemline on this one and open cut back won me over.
Johns family put together a big party next to the marina in San Diego and invited everyone we knew. Friends, Family, co-workers, spouses. I didn’t do any of the planning. It was awesome. I mean nothing. The only thing I had a say on was the flowers where I pretty much just pointed and approved from pinterest photos. I’m in love with the arrangement Johns mom put together her self and placed on every table. I think they are beautiful for a summer party and I love how unique it looks.
I have been so busy with blogging, photography and other side hustles that a party (even though I did want to celebrate) is the last thing I would have wanted to plan. I know, I know… Im a horrible bride!! I wish everything was like this though. Easy and simple. I love that I was able to just show up and enjoy my fiance and celebrate with the people that I love. None of that pre-wedding stress business. I’m all for stressing the least bit possible and keeping things chill. Afterall it’s all about love right and not all that BS that surrounds the wedding industry. Of course, I do like to keep an eye on detalis that have to do with just me so I made sure to get my favorite shoes, a beautiful dress and some delicate jewelry.
