Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Ever since I was a kid Banana Bread has been one of my favorite sweet treats to eat. My grandma always used to make it for us when we would go over to her house and it will forever remind me of her! That being said, I have grown up loving to bake it and keep it in the house.
I don't know about you guys but we buy bananas and they always seem to ripen so fast to the point where no one will eat them! Of course I can't let them go to waste, so we have endless amounts of banana bread at all times. This family recipe is SO easy and I changed it up a bit by using whole wheat flour and adding dark chocolate chips.

Ingredients 4 Ripe Bananas
1/2 C Sugar
1/3 C Melted Butter
1 tsp Vanilla
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 Egg
Pinch of Salt
1 1/2 C Whole Wheat Flour
Dark Chocolate Chips

Preheat your oven to 350. Mash bananas in a bowl until they are broken down completely. Add melted butter and mix. Next, add beaten egg, sugar and vanilla and mix together. Side note: If you prefer your banana bread on the sweet side you can add more sugar. Since I use 4 ripe bananas they add the perfect amount of sweetness and don't require as much sugar.

Next, add baking soda and pinch of salt. Now add your flour gradually and mix. Once all the ingredients are incorporated, add as many chocolate chips as you like leaving some to sprinkle on top.

I use these loaf pans and they are brilliant! No greasing or clean up. Bake for 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Enjoy!
