#13: Fairest - Marissa Meyer

Mirror, mirror, on the wall.
Who is the Fairest of them all?

Pure evil has a name, hides behind a mask of deceit, and uses her "glamour" to gain power. But who is Queen Levana? Long before she crossed paths with Cinder, Scarlet, and Cress in The Lunar Chronicles, Levana lived a very different story—a story that has never been told . . . until now. New York Times –bestselling author Marissa Meyer reveals the story behind her fascinating villain in Fairest, an unforgettable tale about love and war, deceit and death. This extraordinary book includes a special full-color image of Levana’s castle and an excerpt from Winter, the exciting conclusion to The Lunar Chronicles.

REVIEW: I can't believe I was choked up at the end!
While this wasn't my favorite of The Lunar Chronicles in the series, I still liked it. This book basically shows you why Levana, the Queen of Lunar, is the way she is and the trials she went through that made her that way. Though, in hindsight, she really put herself in those situations. She is her own worst enemy, as they say, but it made for great reading. You learn so much about Levana in this story, more than you thought you ever would. I can't wait to see her step-daughter's point of view in the next book, Winter. I bet she can shed even more light on Levana too. I still think this series should be on tv or in films. It is so epic, why isn't it done already?!
