#15 Those Girls - Chevy Stevens (EARLY REVIEW)

They wanted him gone . . . Then it was their turn to disappear.

The three Campbell sisters, Dani, Courtney and Jess, had always dreamed of a day when their dead-beat alcoholic father would disappear . . . But when their dream becomes a reality, the consequences are more frightening than they ever imagined. Assuming new identities, they have to permanently forget the past.

Eighteen years later, Jess, who now goes by the name Jamie, is faced with a serious problem. Her own teenage daughter is asking too many questions; to answer them will involve her unveiling long-buried secrets about her youth, truths she has spent so long trying to forget. Because why did they all run away that night? And what really happened to their father?

Will those girls ever be able to leave the past behind or is it doomed to haunt them for ever?

A thought-provoking and thrilling portrayal of the lengths people will go to protect the ones they love, Those Girls is the latest novel from bestselling author of That Night and Still Missing.

My review for Still Missing My review for Never Knowing My review for Always Watching My review for That Night My review for The Other Side

REVIEW: What an ending! I just finished the book and am blubbering like a baby. Strange, since the story is scary as heck! The ending though, was anything but scary. Skylar is an amazing girl, even if naive. Her naivety is sweet though in a very endearing way. She has the best intentions. She is still a force to reckon with in this tale. Boy-oh-boy though, the villains in this one are terrifying! Especially Gavin. He's the kind of scary that keeps you up at night. Definitely true to Chevy's writing, the story pulls you in and paints the most terrifyingly vivid picture. I love that though! She is definitely a master storyteller in the thriller department. I have read all of her books, I guess you can say I am a super fan. She is simply my favorite Canadian author. Why? Because her stories scare the shit out of me, and I like that. If you haven't read any of her books, I urge you to do so.
