Vintage Décor Inspiration at Hillside Farmacy

The moment I first walked in to Hillside Farmacy I fell in love with every element of the décor. The shades of green, from the building exterior and the mural covering one wall, to the paneling backing the bar and cabinets that line the walls; the rich dark brown wood of the cabinetry itself, which was repurposed from the original building – a pharmacy in the 1950s; the black and white patterned wallpaper and crisp white tile. My eyes zoomed in on the details, like a crystal doorknob on a worn wooden door, the bluish-green hue of the booths, and the antique bar cart. I love when a space takes inspiration from its original purpose, and Hillside Farmacy has done it so beautifully. The cabinets are lined with various dry goods for purchase, as well as vintage bottles and pharmaceutical antiques, and the salt and pepper shakers look like prescription bottles. Now a restaurant that also sells specialty groceries, Hillside Farmacy’s menu features local produce and fresh farm-to-table ingredients. It’s also just the perfect spot to sit with a cup of tea or coffee and soak in the amazing ambiance.
