Stiegl Grapefruit Radler Sorbet

I like Stiegl Grapefruit Radler.

I LIKE IT. OK?

I fully recognize that it’s pretty girly (I mean, it is a blend of Stiegl Pils and grapefruit soda), but in all honesty, it could be worse. Miller 64? That’s worse. The Miller Straw-ber-rita? That’s much worse. (That’s not even beer, is it?)

Anyway. Long story short, I like it. And I’m not sorry.

In fact, I like it so much that I figured I’d take it for a spin in my trusty ice cream maker. You know, just to see what would happen. Turns out sorbet is what happened — and A pretty tasty one at that.

Frozen or not, girly or not, the Stiegl Grapefruit Radler is a

feel good hit of the summer. (But seriously, try it as sorbet.)

Stiegl Grapefruit Radler Sorbet

What you need:

  • 1 can (16 oz.) Stiegl Grapefruit Radler
  • 3/4 cup simple syrup
  • Juice of one lime

How you do it:

  • Combine Radler, simple syrup and lime in a pitcher. Pour into ice cream maker and churn for 10 minutes.
  • Transfer to a container and freeze for at least 3 hours before serving.
