My Organized Linen Closet + A HomeGoods Gift Card Giveaway

Organizing the linen closet is one of those things that never seemed to get crossed off of my to do list. You know the ones that get put on the back burner because there are always more pressing matters? (Please tell me you have some of those too?) While I’ve made a little headway here and there over the years, it still had a long way to go and was starting to really bug me. So when HomeGoods contacted me about partnering with them for their Organize in Style program, the timing could not have been better.

I first cleared everything out of the closet then took some quick measurements before skipping on over to my local HomeGoods. I was looking mostly for containers to neatly hold everything and after looking at a lot of choices, I settled on these pretty white baskets in various sizes…..

I also picked up one large basket to hold heavier blankets and larger pieces….

and some lidded glass jars…..

Armed with everything I needed, it was just a matter sorting, dividing and organizing the contents. Here we are in progress…..

and the final result…..

Tidy, no?

I placed all the coverlets, throws and blankets on the bottom shelves. On the top shelves are bedskirts and extra duvets. (Since it’s already hotter than Hades here in the South, this is where they’ll be stored for the season.)

Next I sorted all the sheets by size and put them in their own basket…..

then did the same for the Euro shams and extra pillowcases…..

The little basket with the handle turned out to be the perfect caddy for linen spray, sachets, etc.

I wanted to label the bins in some way so I dug through my stash of paper goods and found these orange tags that I got at Ikea a long time ago. Then I had a Hermès inspiration moment and remembered I had picked up some pretty brown ribbon with white stitching on my last trip to Seoul. (I always stock up on stationary, paper products and trim like this when I go to Seoul. The selection there is mind boggling!) #hoardingpays #sometimes

No more toppling stacks of sheets and guessing which ones are the right size!

If you’re wondering where all the towels and supplies are, come with me to this second closet…..

Glass jars are great for storing soaps, bath salts and other supplies…..

The same style of white baskets hold TP, tissues, etc……

So everything is organized, in its place and easy to see and access. It’s one of those little things that make life so much easier. It’s motivating me to make organizing a bigger priority around here!

Now for the best part…… HomeGoods is giving five lucky FTRB readers a $50 gift card so you too can Organize in Style! Yes, I said five!
