Happy hump day! I’m en route back to the states from an unforgettable weekend in Paris but wanted to quickly show you a recap of my favorite outfits via NYFWM! I teamed up with Shopstyle & John Varvatos to attend a whiskey tasting event in the earlier part of the week followed by their runway show & after party! As of lately I’m sure you’ve noticed that I’m taking a liking to older, nostalgic influences for my styling and John Varvatos is the perfect brand for that. I’m currently vouching for the return of the distressed vest as well as the ‘gangster’ fedora hat. Even though mens style is growing rapidly (which don’t get me wrong, I’m happy about) I just think the variety of choices is lackluster. Whatever happened to the 30’s through 60’s masculine silhouettes? Marlon Brando, James Dean & Steve Mcqueen would be disappointed. If your affinity is as strong as mine then stake a gander at the links above and start there. The look is achievable and non-costumey if you shop the right brands and luckily John Varvatos is one of those.
