Ocho Rios

Featuring: Express teal suit

Merman, MERMAN! Okay all jokes aside let’s get down to business. A couple weeks ago I touched down in jamaica & I also simultaneously forgot to photograph a suit for my Express collaboration so instead of beating myself up over it I decided to make it work in the tropical setting that is Ocho Rios. The idea was approached in a much more editorial way so go with me on this one. I could’ve taken traditional streetstyle or “resortstyle” photos but instead I chatted with Michael (photographer) & said, “screw it, let’s take this thing in the ocean.” I mean if you think about it, would you look twice or question this if it was in an art magazine? That’s the kind of angle we took, & I hope you dig it like I do.

I kept the styling as simple as could be. no accessories (with the exception of my watch I forgot to take off mid way through) & no shoes. NOT EVEN A SHIRT! I made it very much about the suit & that was it. Traditionally I do love this suit for resort-wear. You can pair it with a linen shirt, some light dress shoes, brown accessories & you’re good to go. The turquoise color is one of my favorites at the moment & screams tropical vacation, am I right? So don’t beat me up this time, I know a few already find it funny but I genuinely wanted to try something different. kudos to me? anyone?

ps. I may or may not be growing out my hair so don’t kill me for that either. Just trying to figure it out. check back this week for more ‘hair raising’ details.
