Stripes: My weakness.

The dress I am wearing in this outfit is my dream dress. Okay, I always say that for every dress I love but this time it's serious. I don't know why it has taken me this freaking long to find a striped swing dress, but I found it. No, it wasn't in any plus size section... but the maternity section! *cue the dramatic music here* -- I'm sure many of us are no stranger to maternity clothing. I think people shy away from it but to be honest, you shouldn't! There's so many gems to find in the maternity section, especially for people like me who are so big in the belly. I am definitely not a size 16 or 18 anymore, so the conception of "only smaller fats can shop straight size" is utter shit. I mean, yes, it's still maternity but it's straight size maternity and as you can see it fits me just fine.

Anyway, back to my gushing about this dress. IT HAS STRIPES, DAMN IT. My friends who are also stripe-holics have similar dresses and I was seething in envy. I wanted something similar to the Fred Perry Dress and I know I will never get something like that in my size but this is the closest thing. I have over a billion striped things in my closet and I think those are one of my weaknesses. I cannot avoid stripes, even Gab is like, "Don't you have two of those already?" Then I make justifications as to why I need a striped item. But, in my defence, I always wear my striped stuff to the point it gets holes and stuff, so I know it's a worthwhile investment.

Are there items that you simply can't resist? Even if you own a billion of it already? If so, what? Another weakness of mine is tan/cognac coloured sandals. Don't even get me started on those.
