Models Own Gel Eye Liner, HyperEyes Mascara & Smokey Palette

I just wanted to give a quick shout out to these Models Own goodies I have in my possession since a while. I hardly ever give the brand a shout out on the blog unless it's for their nail paints but surprisingly they do some great make-up bits too. The first thing that comes to my mind having a look at their cute packaging is how suitable it would be for make-up newbies, teens or those starting out with make-up. Having said that, the products don't compromise on quality and work just as well as most steeply priced drugstore brands.
Their Gel Eyeliner is great. It doesn't dry up like a certain 'Black Track' and works really well even if you use after a few weeks. There's no tugging or pulling with this product on the lids and it glides on smoothly creating a crisp, clean line. I am not a fan of the brush that comes with it as it's a little too stiff for my liking but besides that, it's a pretty darn good product.
I absolutely love the packaging of the Hyper Eyes Mascara. If you were never a fan of the bright purple and yellow Mascara tubes, then this metallic silver one is so refreshing! It even gives it a luxe, high-end feel. It comes with a plastic brush with it pretty huge and the mascara formula is quite 'wet'. Naturally the overall effect is more separation and length than curl and volume. Great if you're looking for a natural effect, everyday wear Mascara.
The Smokey Palette is my absolutely favourite from the lot! Only because I haven't really seen such well made palettes in drug stores before. Sure you'll find a tonne of Smokey Eye Palettes but most of them don't think about the shades or textures added into the palette. Here you get a combination of 4 shimmery shades and one matte black number. With a good mix of taupes, greys and highlight shades, it's actually possible to create a full smokey eye with the dinky palette without spending a crazy amount of money on MAC. Perfect for budget buyers.
