Easiest Baby Hat Ever! [knitting pattern]

I wanted to create a very simple knitting pattern for a baby hat. This one requires no decreasing or crown shaping. If you can knit a scarf you can make this hat! Age- 3-6 months (circumference of hat is 15 inches)
Yarn: Lion Brand LB Collection Cotton Bamboo yarn in Hyacinth (1 skein)
Needles: size US 7 knitting needles
Pattern
Cast on 60 stitches. Work in K3, P3 ribbing until piece measures 8 1/2 inches. Bind off.

(This is what the piece looks like when you are finished knitting)

(Fold the hat in half lengthwise and sew the side seam)

(To make the tie- cast on 2 stitches. Work in Garter Stitch until pieces measures 10 inches)

(Wrap the tie around the hat 1 1/2 inches from the top)
