Under Construction

I've been on spring break this week and have been puttering around on several projects at the same time. So while none of these are finished, they are under construction!

A 1940s crab playsuit! I'm gearing up for the sew along coming up in early summer and wanted some examples to show you in addition to the playsuit I'll be sewing along with you! This one is a combination of the Wearing History Chic Ahoy! bolero and the Wearing History 1940s Sailor Playsuit skirt. Blouse pattern is tbd.

In line with the nautical theme, I'm making up this late 40s McCall pattern in a great nautical striped rayon. The print is very art deco but I don't really wear much from the 20s or 30s so I've decided to sew up something I'd actually wear instead. (Psst! Lauren of Wearing History purchased another colorway of this great fabric and made some adorable 20s pjs!)

And I've finally finished knitting my 1940s bomber jacket! Not sure why, but it photographs very forest green while it's actually more of an emerald color. I just need to actually put it together. And I better hurry because it's starting to warm up.

This are not under construction but I scored these adorable beaded vintage gloves last night and I just had to share!

Beading galore! And they are still very white!
