The Beach House
I’m sitting in our home we’re renting, Realizing I haven’t done much to settle in since this post, and am staring out the window at a flattened moving box that has been a makeshift dog fence/baby gate since January. So yes, I am dreaming of…The Beach House.
So, here’s some things that are making me want to just keep that cardboard box as is, so I can save some money, and one day have some bright breezy, feels like me abode within walking distance to a beach. If it’s a really really long walk, that’s fine too.
This idyllic bunk bed setup. Pretty sure I’d be jealous of our kiddo’s room if this was the setup. And would be the one wanting to sleep in their room.
Happy little beach plates. Put them on the table. Boom. It’s decorated. These actually could be something that would help out of current living situation.
An exposed brick gallery wall with a board and rad chair on the side. Love this combo.
A dreamy custom backsplash. I think I’d actually clean my kitchen a ton just to keep it sparkling,
A painting by Brigitte D’Aniballe - Her art had me at aloha. Every. Single. Painting. I’d design an entire room around one of her jaw dropping imbued with Hawaii pieces.
An outdoor clawfoot tub nook surrounded with tropical foliage. Holy Moly I’m relaxed just thinking of bathing in this thing. And I never take baths.
Some Brass pineapple measuring spoons. These would make me actually measure things, or attempt to bake stuff from scratch. Might need to pick these up for our kitchen asap.
And finally…
His and Hers custom tiled sink setup. I think my husband and I would brush our teeth simultaneously for five minutes together each day. Then hang out and talk about how great it is having two sinks too.
There you go. Beach House. Dream baby dream.
If anyone has any suggestions on an easy DIY makeshift dog fence/baby gate for our patio, the more I look at this cardboard box it’s days are numbered. I’ll post a quick pic in the comments below.
