50 miles. Can I do it?

When my Mom was dying, running was my release. I got up every morning, got to the gym and ran 5-8 miles every day before I went home to make her breakfast and get her day started. Not only was it an emotional savior for me, it made me skinny and ass tight.
Last fall, I tried to get back into shape (I didn't suceed, by the way) and committed to running 30 miles one month. I did it... but barely. I wanted to get in shape to do a half marathon in the spring. Um, yeah. Let's just chalk that one up as a big, fat FAIL. What I did instead was not work out, drink too much wine, and partake in sharing french fries with the kids way more often than I should have.
Yesterday was July 1st. I am going to commit to (try to) run 50 miles in July. 50 miles. And I don't mean 50 miles according to the recorded steps on my Fitbit. I mean 50 miles logged running on the treadmill. I want to attempt to get ready for a half marathon in the fall but I am not fully committing to that yet.

{Fitbit stats from yesterday}
I killed it yesterday at the gym (5.5 miles logged on the treadmill) but due to my schedule, I won't make it back to the gym until Monday next week. Facts like that are going to make doing 50 miles this month quite a challenge.
I still haven't lost any weight. Not an ounce but I did make it to the gym 3 times last week. I would give myself a C on eating this last week but since I finished the tub of ice cream, I don't have to worry about not having any ice cream self-control, any longer.
How is your summer fitness going? Want to try to fun 50 miles with me this month?
