Design Your Own DIY Jewelry

It feels too early in my neck of the woods to start updating my wardrobe with Spring fashions, but I’m so bored with my everyday clothing right now I could scream! To be proactive, I did some searching for fun little DIYs that can make a big difference.

DIY jewelry is a great category to get lost in—there are so many options beyond the typical beaded items from the craft store. How about using Morse Code to make secret message bracelets? Or trying out cement pendants? Now that’s a maker moment I can get excited about! Let’s gather up supplies and deck ourselves out with DIY.

DIY Geo Necklaces

I made these using my Cricut Explore machine – can you believe that thing will cut thin sheets of aluminum? Well, believe it! You could also use layers of paper in the clear lockets that I’ve been finding lately at craft stores, too. Loads of fun and totally customizable.

Simple, modern jewelry is where it’s at right now. This sweet necklace is a breeze to bake (that’s right… bake!), and I just love the two-tone look.

Concrete Gemstone Pendants

Transforming an everyday material like cement into something as delicate as jewelry is so intriguing. Using the dying technique they discuss, you could make a rainbow of cement colors!

Are you one of those people who loves color so much that you always have trouble choosing just one out of the crayon box? Me too. This necklace is the perfect solution for us!

Wire Heart Bracelet
see tutorial at I Spy DIY

Just the other day I wished I had bracelets that would stay on my wrist no matter how many times I take my coat on and off. With its wire hook, I think this bracelet might just do the trick. I love the heart, but you can always make a classic loop or some other favorite shape instead.
