Backyard BBQ Part 1

It's been TWO YEARS since our first photo shoot (here) with our Spokesmodel, Shana. Can you believe it? Time has just flown by! We decided we wanted to celebrate that first shoot by doing another themed shoot for Fourth of July, only this time we invited Shana's handsome hubby, Adam to join in on the fun too.

We decided to do this one at my place to be able to utilize the pool while also being able to run inside after each set-up because it was so incredibly hot out that day! The 107° heat was a challenge for sure, as was the incredibly harsh lighting conditions, but we also had the task of figuring out how to make beach balls all float with only certain colors facing up (Kat figured that one out!) or how to keep Shana and Adam from floating away on rafts when I needed to compose my shot (Rachel came to the rescue on that one!). But, we had an absolute blast with this really. Even the struggles were fun!
