These cafeteria trays are just as you probably remember them! I’m using them to hold electronics. Very durable; nice color and finish. The mesh design cleverly hides scratches. A giant one would be great to catch garage oil drops! This is one of the few products that probably can’t be greatly improved on.

I bought four of these, one for each family member because we all like to eat while sitting on the couch, or in reclining chairs, or in bed. The trays are just the perfect size, weight, and durability.
