MAC Girl About Town Lipstick

At this time of the year everyone is rocking the red lip and cranberry hues, I've been bucking the trend as of late by wearing a bright pink lip with MAC's Girl About Town Lipstick. You can wear this any season and it will look great, it's just beautiful! If pink lips aren't your thing I urge you still to take a look at this bold, bright and surprisingly wearable fuchsia hue.
Girl About Town has a Cremesheen formula, meaning it's a full bodied, creamy lipstick with a sheen finish. I really like the Cremesheen formula from MAC but I do find that the quality and finish differs shade by shade. Girl About Town is one of the better ones, the pigmentation is amazing even with just one swipe and after the lipstick wears off your lips are subtly stained beneath. In terms of wear it will differ on everyone but for me I get at least four to six hours worth of bold, intense colour.
It's a blue-toned fuchsia pink, the blue tone is great because it will make your teeth look whiter, how much it shows through will depend on the skin tone you put it up against. I've got a neutral complexion but quite cool-toned hands, hence the difference in the blue tones in my swatches. On my lips Girl About Town is a real candy pink hue, it is so bright but actually so wearable! Who'd have thought that the girl who used to only wear nude hues, and still does, would be making a fuchsia one of her staple shades.
MAC Lipsticks cost £15. I resent how much the price has increased over the past few years, so I use my lipsticks wisely and definitely take advantage of the Back to Mac program.
