{How To Make A} Book Page Wreath

It's no secret that I have an obsession with wreaths. It may be a *little* out of control. But, luckily, my husband doesn't seem to mind the fact that we have 4 wreaths hanging up in our house right now. He's a keeper. ;)

Anyway, ever since de-Christmasing our home, the mantel has been rather bare. I'm still unpacking and haven't gotten all of our home décor out yet. So, I figured it's high time I made a new wreath to go in this place of honor!I've been wanting to create a book page wreath for a few years now, I've just never gotten around to it. I'm simply in love with this one that The Nester made a few years ago... so I decided there's no better time than the present to get 'er done!

To make your own you'll need: *wreath form (I used a 14 inch straw wreath form) *hot glue guns and glue sticks *cheap-o book from the Dollar Store
The great thing about this wreath is that it's extremely versatile. It doesn't have to look a certain way. So, you can really do whatever you want to create your wreath. I started by rolling my pages and gluing them to one side of the form.

When I was finished, I flipped it over and started gluing them to the top of the other side. Then I filled in pages where needed so that no bits of straw were showing. For the inside of the wreath, I trimmed the pages down a bit and then rolled them into cones. There are two layers of cones on the inside- they really give it volume!

Once the wreath was done, I flipped it over and used push pins to hold a ribbon onto the back for hanging. Then I hung it up over the mantel using a command hook.

Voila! Isn't she gorgeous? I really wanted this to be a LARGE wreath.. and I'm glad to say that I was successful! This baby is 28 inches in diameter. :)

My mantel was extremely bare, so I dug around in a few boxes and pulled out a bit of décor so that the wreath wouldn't be lonely. ;)

I'm so glad to have finally checked this project off my list! The result is spectacular and I have a feeling I'll be displaying this pretty wreath up year-round. :)
