My Ultherapy Treatment At The Karidis Clinic – Before & After

Nearly 4 months ago I had Ultherapy which is touted as a non-invasive, no downtime alternative to a face lift. So often with these things the results can be underwhelming with terms like ‘subtle difference’ and ‘looking a bit fresher’ being used to describe the before and after. However, the results I’ve had from Ultherapy have exceeded my expectations and I think it’s fair to say that there’s been a clear and noticeable positive change since I’ve had the treatment.

Ultherapy uses ultrasound to stimulate collagen at a deep level and I’ve written in more detail about how it works and what’s involved HERE and HERE. And while it needs pointing out that the treatment can work better on some people than on others, it’s generally got a great reputation for being effective. I had my treatment at the Karidis Clinic and my aesthetic nurse, Karolina, is very conscientious about managing expectations. My experience with Karolina is that she doesn’t over sell and the philosophy of the clinic is that they want their patients to be happy and satisfied with whatever treatment they have done.

Following are my before and after images. These sorts of images can have a tendency to look like mug shots and, admittedly, I feel self conscious about showing the ‘before’s’. However, I really do think they demonstrate how well this treatment has worked. I’ve lost a bit of weight in the in-between months since I had it done and I think the treatment has helped prevent my face/jaw from getting the hang-dog look that can happen with weight loss. It’s also lifted everything generally. I’m particularly impressed with the improvements to the eye area – the reduction in puffiness and eyelid lift is quite significant.

Before

After

I was so happy with the results that I wanted to have the treatment again, if that makes sense. Basically, I wanted more of the same. While I’m sure some less scrupulous clinics would have agreed to this, Karolina said no as I will continue to see increased results from my original treatment over the next few months anyway. Then, she’ll give me a a top-up booster session and I can have the full Ultherapy session again in about 8-12 months time. Unless a better option is launched in the meantime, this is definitely a date I’m going to keep.

What’s great about my results from Ultherapy is that they look completely natural and I need less filler and botox because of it too. Also, the physical improvement has led to a whacking great big boost to my overall confidence (which is really the whole point of having any aesthetic treatment). And though the treatment isn’t cheap, I truly believe that feeling good about yourself is priceless.

The Karidis Clinic offers free consultations and can be contacted on 020 3819 6130.
