REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask Review

Ren’s Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask claims to be a potent bio active peel mask designed to renew the complexion, reduce the appearance of fine lines and dramatically improve skin tone. Ren say that it removes dead skin cells to renew the complexion, that skin looks brighter, healthier, more radiant, that it helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and it combats congestion, blackheads and blemishes.

Well hello! I know I want brighter radiant skin with less blemishes, blackheads and wrinkles. So I tried this mask out and to be honest, I must say the results weren’t quite what I was expecting.
The ingredients are below: Polysorbate 60 (Source Rape Seed Oil), Glycerin (Source Coconut Oil), Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Water, Lecithin (Source Soybean), Lactic Acid (Source Wheat), Ribes Nigrum (Black Currant) Seed Extract, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Passiflora Quadrangularis Fruit Extract, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Ananas Sativus (Pineapple) Fruit Extract, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Fruit Extract, Alcohol Denat. (Source Grape), Vaccinium Macrocarpon (Cranberry) Seed Oil, Xanthan Gum (Source Corn), Maltodextrin, Carica Papaya (Papaya) Fruit Extract, Parfum (100% Natural Fragrance), Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Oil, Citrus Nobilis (Mandarin Orange) Peel Oil, Citrus Tangerina (Tangerine) Peel Oil, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Seed Oil, Limonene, Linalool, Citral, Phenoxyethanol (Source Aromatic Ether), Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate (Source Amino Acid), Hippophae Rhamnoides (Sea Buckthorn) Berry Oil, Tocopherol (Vitamin E)
You apply the mask all over your face, avoiding the eyes and lips, leave on for ten minutes and then rinse off which I do using a flannel. After using this a couple of times I noticed that despite my face being slightly pink after using, which I had thought was making it more radiant, I really didn't notice any other benefits, and when the pinkness went away, my skin just looked the same as before. So basically it didn't do anything at all for £32.00. Not ideal!
Overall Thoughts
From the lack of any results apart from my skin turning pink briefly after use I believe that the only thing this mask does is irritate my skin. From the list of ingredients, the bergamot water and citrus oils are all quite irritating to skin and despite the lactic acid I don’t seem to get any exfoliating benefits from this mask at all. To be honest I would save your money and give this one a miss.
This was from the Birchbox shop and while I don't personally like the face mask I think the Birchbox shop is great, you can get fullsizes if you like the mini items from any of your Birchbox monthly boxes plus there are many extras you can get in the bonus shop which are really cute and fun.
