TIGI S Factor Diamond Dreams Range and Silky Smooth Moisture Serum

I love finding a great new shampoo and conditioner – it’s been a learning curve having long hair extensions as they are the exact opposite of my natural hair. My natural hair is thin, flat and basically like a baby’s. My weave however, damn it’s fabulous! Thick, voluminous and heavy, it’s the best thing I have ever done for my hair, but it requires a totally different approach. I would normally use as many volumising products as possible but have had to change to products with oils, intensive moisturisers and lots of serums.

These three S Factor products from Tigi are some of my most recent acquisitions (and there have been many, I had so many shampoos to carry home from work the other day my bag felt like it was full of bricks)!

Tigi S Factor Diamond Dreams Shampoo
The shampoo smells like strawberry laces and is so thick and luxe, the lather is really creamy and feels like it has a good amount of hydrating properties. I like that this really cleans my own hair and my extensions without stripping out the moisture and making my hair feel like straw, I hate that feeling before you put your conditioner on when the shampoo has taken all of the oils from your hair, it’s like fingers down a blackboard.
The shampoo contains champagne extract, diamond dust, and cashmere and crushed pearls which apparently protect against free radicals and add a multi-dimensional shimmer and depth to your hair. Well it certainly looks really shiny and my highlights look great after, so it works for me!

Tigi S Factor Diamond Dreams Conditioner
This is a really thick lavish conditioner, perfect for hair extensions or if you have long hair that has a tendency to get dry or frizzy. It might be a bit pricey and let’s be honest, as with the shampoo it does contain the champagne/diamond dust gimmicky ingredients but even if it is a bit of a gimmick I don’t really have anything bad to say about this conditioner, my hair feels soft, looks shiny, it smooths down split ends and my hair feels like silk. It also smells like strawberry laces and to be honest, with hair extensions and needed to wash your hair less you really do need nice smelling hair products as the hair really retains the smell!

Finally, No Frizz!
Tigi S Factor Silky Smooth Moisture Serum
I LOVE this serum. I need to use serum every day on the ends of my hair and on my extensions all over straight before drying. This lightweight serum is like a cross between a serum and a moisturiser for your hair. I use this on freshly washed hair before blow drying and then on dry hair just at the ends. It does what it says on the bottle gives you super silky smooth hair without leaving it greasy like a lot of other brand serums can do.
You get a huge bottle and 1 pump is perfect for everyday use and two or three pumps for all of my hair. It really helps gives you the perfect silky blow dry and I wouldn’t be without this now but I think it’s going to last for ages.
Overall
I am not sure if it’s because of the fancy ingredients or the more normal ones which aren’t mentioned but, gimmicky ingredients or not, these products leave my hair so super shiny and manageable, soft and easy to style without being so soft they are limp and won’t hold a curl or wave.
I would only recommend these if you have very thick and dry hair, split ends, bleached or highlighted hair or coarseness. Definitely not something to buy if you have thin or flat hair as they are so moisturising I think they would weigh down your hair.
The price is more than I would normally spend, but for a change I think these products are actually worth it and I wouldn’t hesitate to re-buy them. And they are pink with S for Sarah’s on them, the narcissist in me loves that too I have to admit.
You can buy a large 750ml of both the shampoo and conditioner from Lookfantastic for £26.95 which will last you ages. The Silky Smooth Serum is £11.15 fromLookfantastic.
You can often get Tigi hair products in T K Maxx for less so it’s worth keeping an eye out there too.
