DIY MAKEOVER | Pink Potting Station

My love for succulents is no secret. They are all over my studio, my home and every room I decorate! But I have never had a great spot to pot my plants, and I end up making a major mess, so I wanted to create a space outdoors where I could care for all my succulents and flowers without covering everything with dirt. I bought this cedar planting station, but the natural wood did not fit my color scheme, so I decided to give it a 20 min makeover.

I am in LOVE with this super pale pink color called Satin Hibiscus from Krylon® Spray Paint’s newest line, Outdoor Décor. I was a little nervous to paint the potting station, because it’s been on and off raining here nonstop, but the Outdoor Décor spray paint is rain ready in just an hour, and it’s fade, crack and peel resistant – perfect for outdoor furniture! If you need me at all this summer, I’ll be right here, hanging with all my succulents. Step and supplies after the break…

What you need:
Potting Station
Krylon Outdoor Décor in Satin Hibiscus
Terracotta pots
Succulents and plants

What to do:
Assemble your potting station, if it has a polyurethane finish on it, lightly sand the surface.
Spray the wood following the safety and application instructions on the can.
Repeat with 2-3 coat for a consistent color. I used three cans of paint to achieve this color.
Let dry. Then add your pots, succulents and supplies.
