Back To Barcelona

I love the Internet sometimes. I love that I could potentially move anywhere in the world and instantly find like-minded people. Take my Barcelona trip for instance, I hadn't been for ten years and back then I was a slave to the guidebook (I'd taken it out from the local library, and returned it with sand in between the pages). This time around I turned to Twitter, scoured posts by DesignLoveFest and Heroine In Heels and even gathered a few Instagram recommendations. This is my first trip abroad for a while that has nothing to do with a brand and everything to do with supporting a friend who's trying to settle into a new place. I also realised a few things about myself too. Isn't it great when travel helps you do that?

Even though the locals were still wearing their Winter coats, I thought it best to really go to town and bring out my very first Mrs Pomeranz dress. It just screams Summer and where better to have a major keen bean first-bit-of-sun moment, than Barcelona. I could still remember the vague layout of the city, thanks to my organisational skills back when I was seventeen and didn't mind revisiting a few landmarks to see them with fresh eyes. Park Güell is a place I could probably see time and time again. So many beautiful tiles thanks to Gaudi and the perfect blue skies to accompany a morning exploring the grounds. I'm not used to there being no drizzle whatsoever!
