Living room 2015

Happy new week dear blog friends!
Before the weekend I moved {once again!} the furnitures in the living room. In a few weeks we're finally going to build the french door to the patio, so I thought to re-design this room layout.
I evaluated our priorities as a family and I made a list of our needs:
1. have enough space for the conversation area, as we have friends and relatives visiting us quite often and we're italian, so we like to talk!
2. maintain a play area for Enea;
3. add a new bookshelf to replace the wood cabinet I sold two months ago.
What we really don't need {and don't like!} is a living area that is all focussed on the tv, as we don't even watch it! So I moved the big sofa under the window, in this way we can see the all living and the dining area and also the plants in the garden. The tv now is more "hidden" and the two chairs complete the conversation area. I'm really happy, as my friend Alessandra told me, "it's really welcoming, it seems the sofa wants to hug you!".


Felice nuova settimana cari amici del blog! Prima del fine settimana ho spostato {ancora una volta!} i mobili del living. Tra poche settimane finalmente inizieranno i lavori per costruire la porta finestra verso il patio, quindi ho pensato di ri-progettare la disposizione di questa stanza. Ho valutato le nostre priorità famigliari e ho fatto una lista delle nostre esigenze: 1. avere abbastanza spazio per la zona conversazione, visto che abbiamo spesso amici e parenti in visita e siccome siamo italiani, ci piace farci delle lunghe chiacchierate! 2. mantenere una zona gioco per Enea; 3. aggiungere una nuova libreria per sostituire il mobile in legno che ho venduto due mesi fa. Quello di cui davvero non abbiamo bisogno {e nemmeno ci piace!} è una zona giorno tutta incentrata sulla tv, visto che in realtà nemmeno la guardiamo! Perciò ho spostato il maxi divano sotto la finestra, in questo modo possiamo vedere tutto il living e la zona pranzo e anche le piante del giardino. La tv è ora più "nascosta" e le due poltroncine che già erano qui completano la zona conversazione. Sono davvero felice, come ha detto la mia amica Alessandra, "è molto accogliente, sembra che il divano voglia abbracciarti!".
