what i've been into as of late: i want simplicity, ease, and effortlessness to radiate from every detail of the looks i put together. i want the perfect blend of classic and modernity, menswear and femininity. i want a little quirk or edge to set each outfit apart. i want to be authentic, approachable and accessible. i want to try to always be wearing a vintage or secondhand piece, one that made me fall in love immediately and probably cost mere pocket change (the polka dot skirt here was $1!). i want to tell a story, to create a mood based on my own lifestyle and experiences, and to have fun with my choices. i want to be inspired by the ever changing world around me; for my look to subtly evolve as i grow as person. i want style, not fashion. personal style, to be exact. that's why we all love getting dressed in the morning - when you look good, you feel good, and you do good. people notice you first, not your clothes, and that is the oh-so-desired outcome. confidence is beautiful. but remain humble, my friends. i'm still just a girl from rural indiana that may have a cool new address in chicago, but will forever be in awe that people want to visit my blog, see my pictures, hear my thoughts, and are inspired by my point of view on this crazy thing we call life.
you put a smile on my face :)
xx

haven't stopped listening to this for months.
you can't really understand what he's saying, but it's still so sexy.
