Wrapped Up in Silk

Who says winter has to be boring?

With winter hitting us faster than my dad hitting the buffet, everyone is on the search for hats, gloves and scarves galore. This winter, however, I'm aiming to keep my layers as multi-functional as possible. Having to go from work to events, I can't be too bundled up in winter gear so when looking for a scarf, I go for lighter pieces that look more dressy than weather appropriate. These artist designed Illusori scarves are just the right amount of chic and neck protection!

I find with a silk scarf you can really dress up an outfit and if you get a few different sizes you can use them as a scarf, a head wrap, or even a top in the hotter months of summer. I've been alternating my large version of these scarves between an ascot (seen in these photos) and a head scarf for when I don't have time to get my hair done and need to look polished.

The smaller sized scarf I've used in the form of a small bandana during windy days, have tied it around both my arm and my leg to spice up a rather casual outfit, and have even given it to my guy to pop into the pocket of his blazer. Talk about a million uses for one scarf!

Who says winter has to be boring? I say forget the big, bulky scarves this season until you absolutely need them and protect yourself with some style!

Toodles,

Inessa
