Holiday Home Tour 2015

It’s Day 4 of the 12 Days of Christmas! Welcome back, everyone.

This is sort of a special day since it’s my Holiday Home Tour! It’s always a fun post to create because I get to walk you through my home and show you what I’ve done to deck it out for Christmas.

For this particular tour, I’m joining up with The White Buffalo Stylin’ Co.’s Blogger Stylin’ Home Tours. Today marks the final day of this tour. If you’d like, you can click here to start from the beginning to see all of the bloggers’ homes. There are over 30 bloggers participating! The previous stop on the tour was the uber-talented Craftberry Bush. If you’re joining from there, welcome! If you missed her post, be sure to click back and check it out here.

Also, before we get into the tour, I wanted to remind you that every day as part of the 12 Days of Christmas here on IBC, there is a giveaway. Counting today, we are up to four giveaways. I’m so happy to be able to give back to you, both out of my own pocket and from brands that I love. Today, I’ve teamed up with the awesome folks over at Soundfreaq. I’m one of those people who loves music (As you may know, Adele inspired my Christmas tree!) and has something playing constantly. Having a sound system that works well and looks great is important to me. So, I’m excited to be giving away two products from Soundfreaq. But, we will get to that after the tour.

Per usual, I’m going to let the pictures do most of the talking and chime in a bit here and there. Let’s go!

Yesterday I shared my tutorial for the wood stockings on my mantel, so let’s start in the living room.

This year I decided to limit my colors in each space of my home. In the living room I’m using teal, green, and black.

These bottle brush trees from Target couldn’t have worked out better for this space.

If you’ve been on any of my other home tours, you’ll notice I picked up new poufs. I wanted to pull some of the yellow out of this room and add a bit of cozy texture for the winter.

And yes, my marshmallow wreath lives on. I had to replace a few marshmallows, but other than that, it’s in great shape. It’s still one of my favorite things.

Over in the office, red and pink were my colors of choice. They nicely matched my filing cabinets.

And there’s my Double Spot speaker. I love when practical items, especially electronics, also look beautiful. The white and wood are perfect on my shelves.

You’ll also notice a big change in this space. I swapped out my workbench for a small table. I’ll talk more about my decision in another post, but I’m loving the change. (I do have different chairs coming for this table, however, they were delayed, so I’m making do for now. Ha! A blogger’s gotta do what a blogger’s gotta do.)

I “need” to have more than one tree in my house, so I dressed this one up with with ornaments in a gradient from red to pink.

Near my pink dresser is the new Elf print from Lindsay Letters. You all know Lindsay, right? She has the best prints, canvas artwork, and other fun accessories! She’s the bomb. I actually have a few more of her pieces upstairs. I’ll be showing you those next week.

In the foyer, I have Christmas tree #3. This one’s real, and I decorated it with these tiny glass balls in every color. Then, I added on some falling cat ornaments because they may be the best ornaments ever. Also, who doesn’t want cats falling from their tree?

Oh, I should also mention that I painted my entryway. Again! I wasn’t feeling the gray so it had to go. More on that in a later post.

And there’s another Elf print! Son of a nutcracker!

You already had a sneak peek in my dining room earlier this week when I shared my Gold and Green Tree. (You can see more of this tree here.) Now it’s time for a closer look.

I continued the gold and green color scheme throughout the space.

I put together a super simple centerpiece using a variety of trees. Lots of bottle brush trees, plus, one of my favorite Christmas crafts – the colorful wooden trees I created a few years back.

Pretty packages tied with with strings.

Last, but not least, is the kitchen. I haven’t done too much in this space, yet. A few little touches here and there certainly do make it feel more festive.

As I mentioned, I’ll give you a quick look around upstairs sometime next week. There are lots of fun new things to show you up there.

And that concludes my 2015 Holiday Home Tour! I hope you enjoyed seeing my abode and maybe even picked up an idea or two.

Next up on the Blogger Stylin’ Home Tours is withHeart. She’s created such a magical and festive space, so be sure to check it out and continue along with the tour there.
