Red or Blue....Which would you choose?

I have to admit that yesterday was the best way to start my week. I don't know what it is about Mondays off that make me so productive but I feel like I could tackle the world every Monday if only I didn't have to go to work. Those other 2 days I'm off...those are rest days. Monday is a work day so I don't feel as bad actually getting things done on Monday. Today, without trying, I am going to bore you with a weekend update but I also want you to tell me which dress you would choose... you'll see what I'm talking about a little farther down this post.

This weekend was truly just what I needed. I enjoyed a great Friday evening with Michael just relaxing at home after a workout with the ladies at work. We have been running during the week and then doing one of the Max30 workouts on Fridays. I've paired our running with the Bikini Body workouts and have seen such great results already. My running updates will be another post for another day because I have so much to say about it.
Saturday I had a stunning engagement session with a couple that have hired me to photograph their wedding in August. I went to school with Victoria and just so enjoyed my day with them. They were the sweetest most precious couple and really reminded me why I love taking pictures of couples. I can't wait to share more from their session but for today here are two sneak peaks.
Since no trip to Houston can be complete without some time with my favorite Kaitlyn, we met up for dinner, tiff treats, and just quality EDB time which ended up with a sleepover. There is just something so therapeutic about spending some girl time, chatting about life and goals and current happiness that makes the world go round. Life is just better with friends. There is no doubt about it.
On Sunday, after an amazing pancake breakfast, I did some shopping from left over Christmas gift cards. I also did some hunting and debating for the American Gala Charity Ball that is coming up in a few weekends with my Junior Service League. I honestly didn't go wanting to look for a dress but when I went to Saks, I found two that I loved. You will have to wait until February 7th (well really later when I can blog about it) to see which one I chose but here are the two that battled each other. What do you think?

Two totally different dresses for sure.
Sunday evening was spent planning. Planning for what you may ask? Well I (for some reason) decided to join in on a 10 day Beach Body Shakeology challenge. Yes...me...the girl who hates plants and all things healthy. I have my reasonings that I will share with you later this week but it takes alot of planning and alot of prep work. So Micahael and I stocked up at HEB. I told him when we were checking out that I was pretty sure someone had stolen my basket that I had stacked full of chips and cookies and replaced it with this basket of....plants. Sigh.
To be honest, Monday was productive but also just relaxing. My friend Merideth and I went and ran around my neighborhood , I did too much cleaning, and then I read more of my Harry Potter book. I am on book 5 (out of 7) and then I will officially be able to cross it off of my 30 before 30 list. I am glad that I have read through the series. It is what I expected and not what I expected. Part of me wishes I had read it when I was younger and part of me is glad I waited until now.
I hope you all have a great start or rest of you week. I am looking forward to an awesome week with my students and spending as much time with Michael before he has to go out of town again. Happy Tuesday friends.
