Mary Katrantzou x Adidas
The words Fashionista Barbie and sportswear isn’t a regular deal, yeah I exercise, yeah I like pretty workout clothes, but I’m one of those people that generally opts for black, black and more black especially when we are talking about something in Lycra – so designer sportswear collections generally pass me by. Well that is until these amazing pieces from the second season of Mary Katrantzou’s collaboration with Adidas dropped into my inbox.
I have to admit I don’t think I saw the first one, I know call myself a fashion blogger, and after seeing these beauties I think I missed out as I’m sure it was just as fabulous, but if you put together technicolour, crazy prints, 80’s workout vibes with tennis you know you are on to a winner, and wouldn’t it be so fun if Serena Williams turned up to Wimbledon in this kit – it’s kind of white right?!?

As soon as I saw the print featuring people doing all sorts of sports from tennis to boxing and even by the looks of it discus and gymnastics I was sold, did you also spot the quirky No Diving sign and ski jumper? I’m kind of obsessed with it. Put that print on a cute, flirty tennis-inspired skirt, I love the bright pink pleats to one side, team it with a matching track top and trainers and I’m sold. This look is making me want to workout just so I have legs worthy of being shown off in that skirt!!!

There are so many cool pieces in the psychedelic collection from cool bomber jackets with matching tracksuit bottoms, to print tees, swimming costumes, tennis dresses, and even a maxi skirt and dress, which I don’t think would be advisable to play sport in. Another highlight has to be the Superstar trainers featuring an 80’s badge print.
