Welcome to the relaunched JanMarcel.com

For over a year I have been working very hard on relaunching JanMarcel.com and today I can finally present you the new website. I could not be more excited to share all the changes made to the blog.

Today, JanMarcel.com celebrates its third birthday, which makes it the perfect time to go in a different direction. In this very first editor’s letter I will share with you all the things you need to know about the brand new website.

Design

The new design of the blog was created to provide a better reading experience. On the homepage, all of the posts are showcased with bigger thumbnails and take up the whole width of your browser to give a clear impression of all the posts published recently at a glance.

While scrolling down any page on the new website, a menu bar with all of the categories will appear at the top of the page, along with a search bar. This makes it easy to navigate through the blog at any point.

Content

When Jan Marcel was created on September 15 2011, my blog was mainly a personal style blog, showing my outfits and latest purchases. With the new website, my focus will be very different, publishing more news and updates on the menswear industry, as well as interviews and reports on interesting people and events. However, you will find a menu item called ‘Personal’ in the top menu bar, where I will still be posting outfits, editor’s letters and a glimpse of my life as a blogger.

Better experience on mobile phones

From now on, reading Jan Marcel will be much easier on your mobile device, because of our special mobile edition. Just visit JanMarcel.com on your mobile phone and you will be automatically redirected to the mobile version.

Helping Hands

While I have always enjoyed doing everything on my own, I love the idea of adding different voices to the blog. Because of that, a few contributors were selected to create their own column which will be published on our blog soon. All creative minds who will share content of their own expertise.
