Injustice – Perceptions of Super Heroes and Villains Research Findings
Recently I was lucky enough to be sent some really interesting information regarding superhero perceptions in Australia that I am dying to share with you guys.
For those who don’t know Injustice – Gods Among Us is the new game Fighting game from NetherRealm Studios (Mortal Kombat) and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment based on the DC Universe.
So to celebrate the release of Injustice, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment spoke to over 1000 Australians to find out what we really think of the DC Universe.
Who was deemed the Most Fashionable of them all?
No surprises here with Catwoman taking the mantle as most fashionable lady.
The ever dashing Batman showing us you can fight crime and always look the gentlemen.
The most sexy?
The alluring Catwoman.

And it appears Australian women favour brains over brawn choosing Batman as the sexiest male superhero.
The Ugly and the Evil?
Hands down probably one of the scariest Super Villians claimed both these titles.
The Joker embodies all that we fear – chaos, anarchy, pandemonium. He is truly unpredictable, making him the most dangerous of all.
That being said he’s a super fun character to play in Injustice and his attacks reflect his maniacal personality.
Last but not least some really cool state based facts!
- New South Wales residents donʼt find brunette superheroes attractive when
compared with other Australians. - Victorians are more likely to have had a crush on a superhero or super villain.
- South Australians are more fearful than most Australians of super villain Bane.
- Western Australians have a thing for Catwoman having rated her more
fashionable, sexy and classy than any other characters.
Research Details
- The study was conducted among 1,029 Australians aged 18-34 years.
- Fieldwork commenced on Tuesday, March 26 and was completed on Thursday, April 4, 2013.
- This study was conducted online amongst members of a permission based panel.
- After interviewing, data was weighted to the latest population estimates sourced from the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
