Video: Ink Blend Coloring + Avery Elle Product Release Close-Up + Giveaway
Hi there. Today’s video shows how to achieve quick coloring with ink blending… along with a quick look at the new Avery Elle release.

The new Avery Elle Little Minds stamp set is ideal for teacher cards. To add fast coloring, I used my round Ink Blending Tool with various Distress Inks. The inks blend easily – just start by applying pressure outside the image… slowly bringing the ink on to the image using a circular motion. This helps with the blending and prevents lines of color.
By the way, the new Twisted Citron Distress Ink color is such a happy, bright green! It works well with the Mowed Grass Distress Ink. You could try ink blending with other inks but I find that no other ink blends as well as Distress Ink.
For the backgrounds, I used several new dies from Avery Elle and die cut them on to some pieces of Neenah White Cardstock. For the card above, I used my favorite of the new dies – the Burst Die. Isn’t that so cool looking? I’ll admit I did a little happy dance when I saw it.
For the card below, I used the Circle Pierced Dies. This set just puts little piercing in circles and is such a great way to draw attention to the main focus of the card.

I really like that Avery Elle put lots of dies in one set. Makes it worth the investment. Here is the Scalloped Frames Die set. So unique…
I really like using unique die frames and/or embossing folders to create fun backgrounds for stamped images like I did here. It is my go-to technique/design these days! Team it up with the quick coloring with Distress Ink Blending and you can have a handful of cards in no time. Woot!
