Yes – my video has lots of random tips today! Sorry for squeezing so much in there. I just had several things I wanted to be sure to share.

Aren’t these gnome stamps from My Favorite Things so fun? I used the coordinating dies to do a bit of partial die cutting. This resulted in the gnome shape and the white strip being one continuous piece. (I love that look!)

I showed in the video how you can do partial die cutting with cutting plates that have a tapered edge (like the new ones from Sizzix). I also showed how you can instead easily do the technique with smaller cutting plates that are available from Sizzix. (Thanks to Carissa Wiley for this great tip and for letting me share it with you. You can find more of her great work HERE. If you would like to see another partial die cutting video, check

HERE.)

I also shared some tips for Copic coloring, including using the new Hex Chart from Sandy Allnock. (More on that below.) If you are interested in learning more about Copics in general, check out the Copic Markers for Card Makers Class. This was an insanely successful class and has helped many with their coloring!

For the background, I clear heat embossed the My Favorite Things Cheesecloth background on colored cardstock. This is a great way to add some subtle texture.

HEX CHART BLOG HOP

My friend Sandy Allnock just released her new fab Hex Chart download to help with Copic Marker selection. You can find it HERE. This post is part of a hop celebrating the release!

The next person on the hop is my fabulous fun friend Julie Ebersole! (You can always start at the beginning of the hop at Sandy’s blog.)

GIVEAWAY

Sandy has giveaways, too. Five people purchasing the Hex Chart Bundle on or before 5/10/15 will be randomly selected to win a hand-colored chart! Winners will be announced 5/11/15 on Sandy’s blog.
