A summer roadtrip playlist

By the time you read this, I will be attempting to stay focussed for a final 24 hours at work before I head to Brussels and we begin our roadtrip down through France. We finally have our itinerary finalised:

Brussels – Macon (Ige) – Toulon – Cassis –
St Remy de Provence – Beaune – Brussels

I have my clothes laid out (even if they aren’t necessarily packed in bags yet). My passport is sitting on my dresser and I’ve downloaded the latest Rough Guide (my guide book of choice). The camera is charged and I remembered to pack my swimsuit for once. All that is left is… tunes.

What makes a good road trip tune in my book? Things you sang in your car the first day you were allowed on the road after getting your drivers license (hello, Bare Naked Ladies), the song my Dad would play when we left to drive to my Grandparent’s in New Jersey every summer (hello, Bruce Hornsby), things with amazing 80s drum beats (hello, The Drums) and whatever you can sing along to at the top of your voice with the windows down (bow down to Adele). Songs that sound like they are moving…
