Shock horror, I'm back on the scene. After a much needed break, time to think and plenty of time to make some beauty discoveries I'm back with lots of inspiration and a load of great products I can't wait to share with you. For today I'm sharing the beauty highlights of my short getaway, I went on a week trip to Ireland with some friends. This of course lead me to get very excited about which products I would be taking with me. I packed my usual, Bourjois Healthy Mix, Benefit Erase Paste, By Terry Touche Veloutee, but, much to my surprise I found myself reaching for lighter, fuss free products that would get me ready in 10 minutes. Corrector was skipped, along with bronzer and the usual lipstick, which by the way is Georgio Armani Rouge Sheer in 100. Now, lets get on with it...
My skin hasn't been especially great recently, my new life routine is making my usual skincare habits slip, oops. That's why I'm surprised that I reached for this daily, even now that I'm back I still find myself using it, the Guerlain Lingerie De Peau Beauty Booster. It has a light texture and natural finish whilst still offering a light to medium coverage. I loved it instantly, easy to apply with fingers, blended within 30 seconds and that's all it needs. I'm left with an even coverage and healthy looking skin. It feels comfortable on the skin and lasts all day, plus it provides a protection of spf30 which is a bonus in my books.
As I mentioned earlier I skipped Benefit Erase Paste, which I find very odd. I suffer with dark circles and it's the one thing i'm most insecure about. Just a light layer of the Tom Ford Illuminating Highlighting Pen under the eyes, dabble a bit on around my nose and any blemishes I have and that's the base done. Conceals and brightens in one, leaving me confident enough to leave the house without layering on more, which is how I usually feel.
I also mentioned earlier that bronzer is a step I skipped, instead giving my brush a swirl around the Givenchy Prism Blush in Orange and applying as I would with any other blusher. Sculpts my cheekbones slightly and adds a peachy hue to my complexion. When it comes to my eyes Smog by Urban Decay has been the shadow I've been opting for, applying this over my lid and underneath for extra some extra smoulder, blend and voila. You know I like to keep it simple when it comes to eye makeup. To finish that off a quick curl with my Shu Uemura lash curlers and a slick of the Benefit They're Real Mascara comes into routine.
