JTC in PARIS: MISTER JARRS|ELVIS JARRS

——————————————————— IN CONVERSATION|ELVIS JARRS
Name|Elvis Jarrs Age|18 Hometown|Hamburg, Germany
How did you get discovered? I finished school in summer of 2014. After traveling around in Europe with a good friend I began to get bored in Hamburg, I got a job and my plan for the future was to study politics to become a journalist in two or three years. I started working in a school kitchen, even though it wasn't the best job, the people there treat me very well. From time to time, people on the street would asked me if I would like to start modeling. I told my mum about it and she said she knew someone who works at a modeling agencies and she submitted some pics of me to the agency and that's how my modeling career began... What were you doing prior to modeling? Worked at a school kitchen and also working as a volunteer for a independent group specializing in helping immigrants and (illegal) refugees to get by in Hamburg. People would be surprised to know that I... am very good in Mathematics in my first two years in school but after the first two years, I didn't do as well, not sure why I lost the gift! What's your latest obsession? Football. I am not even that good but I loved to play. I scored just three goals in 13 years but I am a defender so it's not that bad! I am a big supporter of my home team in Hamburg and my love for them is unbroken but although for some reason, they always are losing! Your most prize possession? I got a book where I write poems, short stories and other stuff as well and sometimes I use it as a diary. It would be very sad if I lose it. Growing up, who did you look up to as your hero? My father. He is a journalist and I want to be just like him. He shows me a lot of things like music and books which inspires me a lot! When is the last time you said, "I Love You" to someone? I think yesterday when I called my little sister and wished her a good night! Three adjectives that best describes you: Open-minded, Creative and Hungry Describe your personal style: Classy without being bourgeois, so it's not so colorful. I like to wear skinny jeans and leather shoes. I am not so into designer brand clothing or printed t-shirts. In summer, I like to wear sneakers and light hoodies. Your favorite place you have travel to: Ashdod, Isreal Your favorite film and scene from the film: I don't have a favorite movie but I like films like Slumdog Millionaire Your favorite sport: Sport: Football Team: HSV If there's a destination or item you would recommend us to check out or visit about your native country/city or town, what would you recommend? Hamburg, Germany—I would take you to my neighborhood and show you where I grew up, my favorite soccer playground. The shop with the best Boreks (baked goods from Turkey with spinach and cheese) and the place where I hang around with my friends in the summer! If you were given a indie cable show, what type of show would it be? A show about unfair treatment of refugees in Germany and the rest of the world and news about football. Favorite books of mine, highly recommend for you to read: Shantaram Der Schatten des Windes Herztier Tage der Toten Der Schwimmer
