DIY Flower Girl Basket

My sister-in-law recently got married, and my daughter had the honor of being the flower girl in her wedding! Being only 15 months old, there wasn’t much expectation as to how she made her way down the aisle, but I held her hand most of the way and she did great!

I was asked to put together a little basket for her to hold during the procession. Some suggested elements based on the wedding’s theme were a natural fiber or wicker basket, white and purple flowers, shiny gold ribbons, and cream lace. I found most of my supplies at Michael’s, and used hot glue to assemble everything, with a little bit of wire for added support.

I’m really happy with how it came out, and Blair looked darn cute carrying it, if I do say so myself! I didn’t manage to get a good photo of her with the basket, but I can’t wait to see the photos the pro photographer took during the ceremony!
