I’m a sucker for unconventional fashion presentations. I also love a setting that clearly shows the inspiration of a collection. Orla Kiely is a master of both, and her presentations are always exquisite. This weekend she showcased her fall-winter 2015 line at London Fashion Week, and once again I wish I were there. The setting was that of a library, and models browsed the shelves, read books, checked them out, and required “silence” from the audience. All this time, they were wearing Orla’s signature prints and retro cuts, complete with librarian shoes and cardigans. Their hair – nice and neat low braids, which any bookworm can attest is the perfect hairstyle for reading.
