Fabulous Room Friday 03.27.15

I’m still craving coastal-inspired spaces after my recent binge-watching marathon of Bloodline and my “Florida Frame of Mind” post earlier this week. The kitchen at the Rayburn family’s inn is a frequent setting in Bloodline and Erika Powell designs some of the most beautiful kitchens in Florida, so naturally, I knew an Urban Grace kitchen would be in order today! This particular kitchen is filled with light thanks to a wall of windows, French doors, and transoms. I love that the upper cabinet doors are designed to mimic the look of the windows and doors. It tricks the eye into thinking the entire space is surrounded by windows. As much as I love antique brass and polished nickel in kitchens, I love the clean, classic look of the antique nickel cabinet hardware, lighting, and faucets Erika selected for this kitchen. The overall palette is crisp and feels at once modern and traditional– white cabinets, backsplash, and countertops with a contrasting gray island. I also love the whitewashed floors. The whole look is beachy, inviting, and completely stylish. By the way, did you notice the two clever sinks on either side of the island?

I have been sick all week, so I’m anticipating a lot of time at home this weekend. Is there anything else I should binge-watch? Have a great weekend!
